We are firm believers that studying and learning a language is best done person to person in real-life situations. There have certainly been many millions of people that have learned English in a classroom and with social or business experiences added. But in the modern world online English classes can be more convenient for many people. This page is designed to list some resources to help you get started.
Free Online English Classes
One of the best free online English classes actually comes from the BBC. They have a YouTube channel specifically for learning English and it is free. It goes without saying that the BBC produces high quality audio and visual content and this channel is no exception. The standard of content is very good and there are lessons to suit a wide range of students and levels of ability.
Another great online resource paid for by the British government is the British Council website which has a substantial amount of online tutorials. Here at AllMalta we used some of their content and liked it. Everything we saw and used was free, but it is possible that there are paid resources too.
If your study time is limited each week, an interesting resource might be Perfectly Spoken. Their courses are not free, but if you can only study for 10 hours per month or less, they have free resources for you. We really like their site and their content. Their upgraded content and lessons are excellent.
